How a room comes together03
Bare, prepared, finished.
A careful finish starts before the final roller pass: look first, prepare properly, then paint.
-
No. 1Bare
Look and measure
Each wall's condition is checked and the measurements your estimate started from are confirmed in the room.
-
No. 2Prepared
Protect and prepare
Floors and furniture are covered, small cracks filled and sanded, and the edges taped before a tin is opened.
-
No. 3Finished
Two even coats
Walls are rolled in two finish coats with edges cut in by brush, then the room is cleared for a walk-round.
Boundaries04
Some rooms need a visit first.
The estimate only shows a number when the sample model can price a room honestly. These go to a site visit instead, with no figure attached.
- Damp, large cracks or flaking paint
- Wallpaper to strip or new plaster
- Rooms that are not a simple rectangle
- Ceilings over 3 m
- Stairwells and landings
- Doors and windows covering over half the wall
Exterior and commercial painting are not part of this service.
